Flying Operations
Weekends
- Typical dates: We operate Saturdays and Sundays from early May to mid-October.
- Hours: Preparations for flying start between 9:00am – 9:30am
- Weather Permitting: If the weather is good and the wind is below 25km/h, we are likely flying.
- Give us a call: To verify before coming out, call us at the clubhouse at (613) 673-5386. Note: When the weather’s great, we’re often out flying, so there’s not always someone in the clubhouse available to answer your call.

Flyweeks
During flyweeks we have flying and instruction every day, weather permitting.
- July Flyweek: First week of July
- August Flyweek: First week of August
Other weekdays
We also operate on other occasional weekdays, when there’s superb soaring weather and enough interested glider pilots. These days are generally focused on member cross-country flights, rather than instruction and intro flights.

When gliders operations are active, call on 123.3 MHz before attempting a landing, or when transiting the area.
- Identifier: CNF3. Located approximately 26 nautical miles northeast of Ottawa.
- Coordinates: N45 29′ 10″ W075 05′ 46″
- Unicom: 123.3 MHz
- Runway 26/08: (2550 ft) Landing on asphalt or grass. Gliders typically launch on asphalt and land on grass (south side of asphalt).
- Runway 31/13: (2650 ft) Landing and takeoffs on grass on southwest side of asphalt. Note: Asphalt along runway 31/13 is not suitable for landing or takeoff.
- Runway 35/17: (2550 ft) Landings and takeoffs typically on grass on west side of asphalt/loose gravel.
