About Gatineau Gliding Club
We’re the premier gliding facility in Eastern Ontario.
We’re a non-profit volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting sustainable motorless flight in Eastern Ontario and Western Québec.
We’re located at the Pendleton Airfield, a former WWII Air Force training base, within an hour’s drive of Ottawa-Gatineau, Brockville, and the west island of Montréal.
The Gatineau gliding club is proud to be Canada’s longest-running gliding community, serving eastern Ontario and western Québec.
After many years of considering getting my glider pilot licence, I finally did an introductory flight at GGC in 2022. A few months later, circling and climbing in a thermal, I gazed in awe at a hawk flying in formation off my wingtip. I wish I’d started years ago.
